As a business, we are passionate about leading change and aligning with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We have committed to helping our industry become more sustainable through being a founding member of the SDG Publishers Compact and through signing up to Publishing Declares, both of which we've promised to take measurable actions that will have a positive impact on sustainability.
Find out what we are doing to help and access our free content on sustainability and the UN SDGs below.
What are we doing to help?
We publish mission led social science research that tackles key societal challenges aligned with the UN SDGs. In doing so we work with academics who collaborate across disciplines and countries, and with industry and government, to publish research that influences thinking, changes policies, and positively makes a difference to lives beyond the walls of academia.

Sources of funding for research papers
We’re passionate about helping researchers make a difference.
This is why we’ve teamed up with the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Responsible Production and Consumption, and Professor of Research Impact in Supply Chain Management at Leeds University Business School, David L Loseby, to compile this helpful guide to some of the sources of funding which may be available to you, so that you can publish your research and contribute to real-world change.
This guide is intended to provide an initial overview as to the approaches and possible organisations available for researchers to gain the necessary funds to cover the cost of research and open access fees for research papers.
Free journal articles & book chapters on sustainability
Our focus is to ensure that the research we publish can fully play its part in solving significant global challenges. This is why we have selected a series of articles and book chapters aligned to the subject of sustainability and the UN SDGs and made them free to access, so that you too can benefit from this research.
Journals, books & podcasts on sustainability
We have a large selection of books and journals that focus on the topic of sustainability and the UN SDGs specifically, as well as several podcast episodes. Find out more about each of them below.
