Sport, Business & Management’s (SBM) mission is to bring sport management and business scholars into sustained conversation, building knowledge that is credible in sport and across organizational settings. Through this work, SBM seeks to generate theoretical and practical contributions that advance understanding and inform practice in sport and beyond.
As our name implies, SBM publishes scholarly research that addresses the sport industry’s central challenges. In addition, we publish work that uses sport as a powerful context for developing, testing, and refining management and organizational theory. We welcome empirical (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods) and conceptual contributions that go beyond description to offer clear theoretical insights and transferable implications.
