We’re a dynamic and socially responsible business with a mission to drive positive change and make a meaningful impact in the world. It’s how we started back in 1967 and it’s still true today.
Every individual at Emerald has an important part to play in this, from our interns to our C-suite. It’s a shared responsibility that empowers us all to grow, develop and make a real impact.
Our size of business means we are large enough to make a difference yet small enough to care. So, while our roots are in publishing, we prioritise so much more. From ethical business practices to diversity and inclusion and sustainability, these are all areas we feel strongly about. If you’re also passionate about giving back to local communities, or being an inclusive force for change, you’ll fit right in!
We’re looking for individuals who want to be part of our journey, champion our values and contribute to a high performing team. Does this sound like you?

Our vision & purpose
Our vision
Our vision is a world without barriers: where everybody has the opportunity to make a difference through the research they publish.
Our purpose
To publish research that has real world impact by creating an equitable research and publishing environment where all voices are represented and heard.
Our team structure
We work hard to continually invest in our teams' growth, support, and development. That’s why our average length of service is 7 years, and our turnover is usually between 15% and 18%.
Our C-Suite and senior leadership team strive to create a culture where everyone can thrive, and this shows in our employee experience survey.
About Cambridge Information Group
In 2022, we were acquired by Cambridge Information Group LLC (CIG), a family-owned, mission-led investment firm with deep experience in the information industry.
CIG has a long heritage of acquiring and building businesses that have a positive impact on society. Its acquisition of Emerald allows us to continue the legacy created by Dr Keith Howard to drive positive change in our communities.
The leadership teams across CIG and Emerald work together closely on strategic growth and investment plans, with day-to-day operational leadership from Emerald's C-Suite. This enables empowerment, speed and flexibility in decision-making, intended to benefit all stakeholders, but most importantly our employees and our customers.
