Safer Communities (SC) provides broad and peer-reviewed coverage of the range of topics that constitute community safety, community justice and youth justice. The journal’s interdisciplinary and international scope reflects the broad community of researchers and professionals involved in the field.

SC promotes innovative research and evidence-based policy and practice by drawing out clear practical implications, offering vital access to information on how to tackle and reduce crime. The journal is a forum for the dissemination of the latest research in the field, and encourages submissions from both academic researchers and practitioners. Papers published in SC are double-anonymous peer-reviewed.
