Here are some hints and tips for sharing your work...

Share your work

Social media

You can increase the reach of your work by sharing on your own social media channels. Join in conversations, highlighting your research and potentially reach a global network as others comment, share and like. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, are all great ways to ensure your research is part of current conversations.

  • If you don’t already have one, set up your own social media account(s)
  • Follow people in your field – connect with your existing network and identify people you’d like to get to know.
  • Engage in conversations to build up your profile and network.
  • Make the most of social media opportunities at conferences by sharing your experiences via your social media channels. Don’t forget to check whether there’s a conference hashtag you can add to your posts. this often leads to it being reposted by the conference organisers.
  • We’ll also promote your research through our social media channels. Connect with us so you don’t miss our posts and repost to your network

Track the influence and reach of your work with Altmetrics

Altmetric collates and tracks online mentions of your work, allowing you to see who is talking about your research, what they’re saying and where they’re saying it, giving you evidence on the reach and influence of your work.

As soon as your research has been published with Emerald, Altmetric starts to track online mentions through your work's individual Digital Object Identifier (DOI).

Once there have been online mentions of your work, it will receive an Altmetric Attention Score. You can find this by clicking on ‘All Metrics’ which sits alongside your work.

Clicking on the Altmetric link will give you access to a dashboard where you can see further details of who has been talking about your work and where they are talking about your work.
