Emerald changes peer review terminology to be more inclusive for all

17th September 2021

From September, we're updating all our author guidelines and journal homepages on our peer review policies. In line with recent updates from fellow publishers, we'll endeavour to no longer include the term(s) ‘single blind’ or ‘double blind’ in our guidance and will instead use ‘single anonymous’ or ‘double anonymous’.

We hope that as well as making our guidelines more inclusive, this will also provide clarity to first-time authors around the process. This is a work in progress, and we will update further resources accordingly.
