Emerald announces partnership with Silverchair

9th January 2025

Emerald is today announcing a new partnership with Silverchair, a leader in innovative publishing technology, to deliver a refreshed and enhanced Emerald Insight.

In summer 2025, Emerald Insight will re-launch on the Silverchair platform. Silverchair shares our dedication to responsible publishing and real-world impact. By working together, we seek to broaden participation, engage new audiences, and make research more accessible and usable.

Natalie Jacobs, Chief Product Officer, Emerald said: "Joining the Silverchair publisher community has already proven to be beneficial, with valuable collaboration underway between our development teams as well as with other publishers. By futureproofing Emerald Insight we’re delivering an enhanced solution for both our customers and authors."

Will Schweitzer, Chief Executive Officer, Silverchair said: "Our engagement with the Emerald team has reinforced our aligned goals of disseminating research knowledge worldwide to make a positive difference beyond academia. Technology is a key aspect of executing organisational strategies, and we look forward to supporting Emerald in achieving their ambitious goals and vision as a long-term partner."

As the primary gateway to our 300+ journals, 4,000+ books and 3,000+ case studies content, our vision for Emerald Insight is to offer an accessible consolidated platform, to strengthen our commitment to open research practices, improve the experience for our author communities, and to support and amplify diverse types of content, broadening research participation and exchange. The partnership with Silverchair is a significant step towards realising that vision.

The new Emerald Insight will launch in the summer and we will share more updates with you over the coming months.
