Please find below some FAQs
General questions
1.When will content move?
Content from now publishers will start to be available on Emerald Insight from November 2025, with all content available by 1 January 2026. The current now publishers platform (https://www.nowpublishers.com/) will continue to be available to access until 6 January 2026 when it will be decommissioned.
2. Will the URLs I am currently using change?
Yes, links from the now publishers platform will all be updated to emerald.com URLs. However, there will be automatic redirection to Emerald Insight. These will be eventually phased out, but we will ensure sufficient time to support the transition.
3. Is the content the same as the version that was published before?
Yes, the article or book is the same as that published by now publishers, with some enhancements that modify the appearance of the content. For example, readers can now take advantage of Emerald Insight's "split-screen" feature, which allows the article to be read while displaying data, figures and other information alongside the text of the article. Reference lists are made easier to compile using the citation manager tools on each article.
PDFs remain available to read, but will benefit from displaying on Emerald Insight in their entirety for subscribers, providing easy access to references within the body of the text and the associated DOIs and URLs, enabling easier continued research and navigation.
4. Can I access all the same content that I could on the previous now publisher platform?
All content previously accessed via the now publishers platform will migrate to the Emerald Insight platform, and previous links will automatically redirect. If you held an account on nowpublishers.com, your access entitlements will remain the same.
5. Will my login details remain the same?
- If you already have an account on Emerald Insight: from January 2026, access to your now publishers content will be added to your account.
- If you do not have an account on Emerald Insight: We have created a new account for you on Emerald Insight using the email address associated with your nowpublishers.com account. You will just need to reset your password, which can be done at: www.emerald.com/my-account/reset-password.
6. Is the site compatible with mobile devices?
Yes, the new site is mobile compatible.
7. What are the features of the Emerald Insight platform?
Emerald Insight offers a variety of new features including:
- Sustainability and accessibility enhancements through optimised use of colour, images, graphics, and vectors to support improved user journeys, more detailed filtering, and faster page load times. These changes not only benefit readers but reduce carbon usage, positively impacting our planet.

- Collection pages offering the option to curate diverse content across products and fields, or within the products you have access to, facilitating deeper discovery.

4. How will I get my 2025 usage reporting for now publishers content?
We will continue to follow the COUNTER compliance guidelines and maintain a minimum of the current year plus the prior 24 months of usage data via the Institutional Administrator Dashboard.
COUNTER reports for Jan 2026: As Jan 2026 COUNTER stats will stem from two platforms there will be a set of reports from each (the retired nowpublishers.com site and Emerald.com/Insight) and there will be a slight delay in obtaining January’s COUNTER reports from the nowpublishers.com site. These will be included in the historic COUNTER reports that will be uploaded.
Historic COUNTER reports: We anticipate that historic COUNTER reports from nowpublishers.com will be available to you from February at the earliest via the Administrators Dashboard. Due to this delay, we strongly recommend you download any reports you need now.

8. When will Now Publishers content be available for selection in library discovery services?
We are working closely with our discovery services partners to ensure now publishers content is activated and available as quickly as possible. All required KBART files have been created and sent to our partners, the activation process is underway and we expect the content to be available by mid-January, although this date is dependent on some external systems such as Ex Libris. In the meantime, collections are already live in EBSCO, and redirects point to Emerald pages.
