This year, The British Book Awards celebrates its 35th year, and we’re honoured to be part of the celebrations and to be recognised for our contributions to the world of academic publishing.

The judges highlighted some key milestones for Emerald in 2024, including the acquisition of Information Age Publishing, the launch of our new bookstore, our strong sense of mission, and our commitment to sustainability. 2024 also saw the launch of our new Open Lab which explores open access models, and we were recognised as a Times Top 50 Employer for Gender Equality and one of the Top 50 Inspiring Workplaces in UK and Ireland.

Now in its 35th year, and affectionately known as the Nibbies, the British Book Awards are a highlight in the publishing calendar.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony at Grosvenor House, London, UK on Monday 12th May 2025.

You can see the full shortlist on the Bookseller website.
