Emerald Publishing, in partnership with the Higher Education Teaching & Learning Association (HETL), is hosting the webinar AI Trends in Higher Education.

The webinar is scheduled for Wednesday 26 March 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM GMT and will explore how artificial intelligence is impacting teaching, learning, and academic research.

The webinar aims to address both the challenges and opportunities that AI presents for institutions, educators, and students. It’s designed to foster discussions on the role of AI in higher education and its practical implications.

Moderator and Panellists: The session will be moderated by Prof. Abhilasha Singh, Professor of OB & HRM at American University in the Emirates. The expert panel includes:

  • Mariann Hardey – Professor in Business and Computing, Directorate for Advanced Research in Computing (ARC) Institute at Durham University Business School.
  • John W. Moravec – Scholar on the future of work and education, global speaker, founder of Education Futures LLC, and Editor-in-Chief of On the Horizon.
  • Ahmad Hassan Afridi – Researcher and Faculty Member, Tampere University.
  • Xianghan (Christine) O’Dea – Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at Kings Business School, Kings College London.
