CALL FOR REVIEWERS & EDITORIAL ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS

Library Management

This is a call for reviewers to nominate themselves or others to participate in the peer review process for a well established  international journal LIBRARY MANAGEMENT. The journal publishes articles pertaining to all aspects of library management both helpful to the library practitioner and to the future of the profession.  It is truly international in scope  attracting papers and writing about issues from most countries globally.  Its authors are both practitioners and also academics working and writing in the discipline area.  It also publishes writings for all levels of libraries whether they be School, Special, Public Academic, State or National libraries.  It has also dealt with the issues of COVID and the publishing industry impacts as well as the issues dealing with the relegation of materials and the systemic changes created by Digital disruption.

Reviewers should have knowledge and experience in these nominated or related areas. Reviewers can have academic qualifications but at the same time experienced librarians are warmly sought and welcomed. The expectation of the reviews is to assist authors improve their papers allowing the  community to learn and be challenged.

Being a reviewer improves ones career prospects by understanding the profession a little more, by being able to analyse trends and ideas globally and by raising one’s profile internationally amongst the profession’s leaders.

In addition to Reviewers, Library Management (LM) would like to constitute an extended Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) for the journal. The initial term for an EAB member would be 2 years.

Our expectations for an EAB member would be that you would participate in any of the following activities:

  • Act as a reviewer for papers within your area of expertise as invited by the Editor (2-4 reviews a year)
  • Encourage your network to participate in reviewing for the journal
  • Promote the journal at conferences you attend and within your network

Please apply to Steve O’Connor, Editor, Library Management at [email protected] or Charlotte Eagles (Commissioning Editor) [email protected]. Any concerns or queries which you might have can be discussed and clarified.
