Change of EiC at Water Management-Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)
Over the past six years, Water Management journal has been expertly managed by the outgoing Editors, Professor Julien Harou and Professor Reza Ahmadian. The ICE and Emerald extend their deepest gratitude to Professors Harou and Ahmadian for their dedicated efforts in maintaining the journal's excellence.
Water Management is pleased to announce that new Editor-in-Chief, Dr Anna Murgatroyd, has taken on the role for the next three years starting January 2025.

Dr Anna Murgatroyd from Newcastle University (UK) is a lecturer in hydrology, with a strong background in water resources planning and management, global food systems, multi-objective optimisation, and climate impacts analysis. She has conducted leading research exploring themes of sustainability, resilience, and climate change impact, with technical experience from investigating the resilience of England and Wales’ water supply system to future climate change, demand and environmental stressors. She has also led investigations of hydropower and irrigation development along the Blue Nile, assessing the consequences of reservoir development and new operational policies for riparian countries in the Basin, and quantified the potential of agricultural technologies to improve the resilience of Ethiopia’s food security to climate change.
In the next 3 years, Dr Murgatroyd is excited to contribute to the journal’s growth and continued success, aiming to promote high-quality, impactful work that will shape the future of water management in natural and engineered systems.
