To strengthen action-oriented and applied research, we are pleased to announce that the Journal of Research in Innovative Teaching and Learning (JRIT&L) will be introducing a new section titled “Action Research” beginning with our upcoming issue. This section will feature studies and reports that connect research directly to practice, highlighting how scholarly inquiry can address real-world challenges and improve teaching, learning, and professional practice.
The Action Research section will welcome submissions that:
• Describe research conducted in authentic educational or professional settings
• Demonstrate collaborative problem-solving between practitioners and researchers
• Offer practical insights and strategies applicable to the field
• The action research submissions will follow the same author guidelines but with a focus on practical application, undergo a double-anonymous peer review process, and be limited to 3,500 words.
By creating this section, we aim to provide a dedicated platform for practitioner-driven scholarship and to encourage the integration of theory and practice. We believe these contributions will inspire and inform our readers, fostering a stronger connection between research and application.
We look forward to your submissions and to building a vibrant community of action research scholars and practitioners.
