Special Issue - "Art Crime: Contemporary Developments in Prevention"

A special issue of the Journal of Criminological Research, Policy and Practice (JCRPP), with Guest Editors Vicki Antonia Oliveri and Pamela Jame.

Art crime, in its various forms, continues to adversely impact irreplaceable cultural heritage – whether it involves the looting and destruction of cultural heritage sites, the sale and distribution of illicit antiquities on the international art market, faked and forged art, or thefts from collecting institutions.

The Journal of Criminological Research, Policy and Practice invites submissions for a Special Issue on the topic of "Art Crime: Contemporary Developments in Prevention”. Suggested topics for the Special Issue include, but are not limited to:

  • Practical strategies to minimise and prevent art crime
  • Emerging trends in cultural heritage protection policy and practice
  • Art crime law enforcement
  • Cultural heritage law
  • Securing cultural heritage sites
  • Securing collecting institutions.

Potential contributors are invited to submit original articles on their research and/or practice. Quantitative and/or qualitative approaches are welcome.
