We’ve partnered with Knowledge Unlatched (KU) to create open access titles for the Responsible Management and the SDGs collection.
We aim to publish 20 books in this collection in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Could you be our next open access book author?
Does your work focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals? We are particularly looking for titles that focus on the following SDGs and examine how they can be achieved:
- SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth
- SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
- SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production
Topics
Potential topics for the collection could include:
- Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace
- Creating labour opportunities for the marginalised – including refugees and asylum seekers
- Ending forced labour, modern slavery and human trafficking
- Socially responsible business practices
- Sustainable supply chains
- Sustainable tourism
- Supporting economic growth in developing countries
- Decoupling economic growth from environmental degradation
- Business and industry engagement with the SDGs
If you think your work matches these criteria, we’d love to hear from you. Please fill in the contact form at the bottom of this page and one of the team will get right back to you.
Collection funding
To finance the collection and ensure that all the books are open access, Knowledge Unlatched will raise funds from the library community.
Acceptance of your proposal does not, therefore, guarantee your book will be published open access. If there are insufficient funds, your book will be published by Emerald as a standard print and eBook title according to our pricing model.
Of course, we will keep you informed throughout the process, and provide clear communication on the outcome of funding allocation.
