Introduction  

The Internet of Things (IoT) generally refers to the vast number of devices that are connected by means of Internet across the globe forming an IoT network. These devices perform various functions such as sensing the physical parameter, processing and communicates the processed data to the end users and/or systems. Artificial Intelligence (AI) embedded with all these networked devices provides enormous supports to digital marketing and intelligence and creates huge demand in the digital world. Moreover, it is also estimated that there will be 152,200 IoT devices connecting to the internet per minute and companies could invest a total of up to $15 trillion in IoT. Hence, providing smart and intelligent solutions to the digital users is increasing exponentially in the field of IoT which primarily targets on computing and communication capabilities for Massive IoT Networks. Based on the requirement of the above said computing and communication issues, this special issue mainly targets the challenges and solutions in computing and communication capabilities for massive IoT networks.
