Introduction
The last few decades are characterised with exponential increase of the research for innovative and advanced materials. Such fast development is defined by the need of more effective materials in aspect of specific new applications, higher sustainability requirements and the need for utilising the latest developments in aspect of micro and nano technologies. Important factor for such developments is clearly defined tendency to develop biodegradable solutions and the innovative use of natural materials.
The proposed themed issue of Forensic Engineering Journal (ICE) is aiming inclusion of papers within wide range of topics. Potential applications are varying from Fibre Reinforced Polymers and nanomaterial used for strengthening of existing or reinforcing of new structural elements, to assessing characteristics of ancient technologies and materials in archaeological and historical structural investigations.
The Special issue aligns with several UN Sustainable Development including SDG 3 (Good health and well-being), SDG 8 (Decent growth and economic growth), SDG 9 (Industry, innovation and infrastructure), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
