25th CEEMAN case writing competition
2019 CEEMAN and Emerald case writing competition: winning and shortlisted cases
CEEMAN and Emerald are delighted to announce the winners of the 25th Annual Case Writing Competition.
A total number of 27 case studies written by 49 authors from 11 countries (Australia, France, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Russia, South Africa, Sweden, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, USA) were submitted to the competition.
The evaluation committee composed of professors Vladimir Nanut, MIB School of Management, Italy; Al Rosenbloom, Dominican University, USA; and Leif Sjoblom, IMD, Switzerland, deliberated over each case individually before deciding on a score for the case and teaching note separately.
The winning cases
- 1st place: Drink The Duchess: Marketing challenges and opportunities encountered when SMEs internationalise by Geoff Bick and Fran Heathcote, University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business, South Africa
The authors will share a money prize of €2,500, 100% scholarship for participation in one of CEEMAN faculty development programmes, and a 12-month free subscription to an Emerald subject collection.
- 2nd place: It's Everybody's Business, Period. By Sadaf Taimoor and Mahnoor Hameed, NUST Business School, Pakistan
The authors will share a money prize of €1,000, 50% scholarship for participation in one of CEEMAN faculty development programmes, and a 12-month free subscription to an Emerald subject collection.
- 3rd place: United to innovate: Grameen Veolia Water by Anne-Claire Pache and Kevin Andre, ESSEC Business School, France
The authors will receive a money prize of €500, 30% scholarship for participation in one of CEEMAN faculty development programmes, and a 12-month free subscription to an Emerald subject collection.
