Call for Papers – Quality Assurance in Education
Aims and Scope
QAE publishes original empirical or theoretical articles on Quality Assurance issues, including dimensions and indicators of Quality and Quality Improvement, as applicable to education at all levels, including pre-primary, primary, secondary, higher and professional education. Periodically, QAE also publishes systematic reviews, research syntheses and assessment policy articles on topics of current significance. As an international journal, QAE seeks submissions on topics that have global relevance.
Topics for submission include (but are not limited to):
- organizational or program development, change and improvement
- educational testing or assessment programs
- evaluation of educational innovations, programs and projects
- school efficiency assessments
- standards, reforms, accountability, accreditation, and audits in education
- tools, criteria and methods for examining or assuring quality
About the Co-Editors
Dr Heidi Flavian
Achva Academic College, Israel
Dr Flavian is a senior lecturer, a researcher and the Head of Special Education department at Achva Academic College in Israel. She is also the Link-Convenor of the Net-Work "Educational Improvement and Quality Assurance" of the EERA, and served as a Guest Editor for the Journal of Quality Assurance in Education in 2018. Dr. Heidi Flavian has a PhD in Educational Leadership from Dayton University, Ohio, USA. Her main areas of interest are teacher training, mediation, thinking processes among students, and teaching students with special needs. She published books and articles in variety of journals and international conferences.
Dr Krassie Petrova
Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand
Dr Petrova is a Senior Research Lecturer and Head of Postgraduate Studies at the School of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences. She has published and presented in New Zealand and internationally in the areas of eLearning, IS/IT and eBusiness education and curriculum development, IT/IS student skills and capabilities building, mobile applications and services adoption, and mobile business models. She has conducted research and published on the adoption of eLearning and technology supported learning, mobile gaming, mobile learning, just in time learning, in ICT and information security curriculum development. One of her current areas of research is related to developing models and frameworks for the investigation of context-dependent services, including service design, value co-creation, and security and privacy. Recently, she has focused on the adoption of AI in a teaching and learning context.
