The theme for this year’s conference will be Blending Theory with Practice:  A look at technology and its impact on the accounting profession, auditing techniques and/or unique ways to envelope technology into curriculum.

CALL FOR PAPERS INCLUDING POTENTIAL PUBLICATION IN THE MANAGEMENT AUDITING JOURNAL

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES & NOTICE OF DECISIONS

The Center for Corporate Reporting & Governance (CCRG) is seeking academic papers for the joint Haskell & White and Managerial Auditing Journal academic conference. Papers are invited in the areas of accounting, finance, corporate governance and economics with a focus on technology and its impact on the accounting profession, auditing techniques and/or ways to envelope technology and analytics into curriculum. Submissions should be received by Thursday, August 1, 2019. All manuscripts are subject to a blind review process. Email notification of the outcome of each submission will be sent to the corresponding author or authors in early August.  The number of papers accepted for this conference will be limited.

Each paper submission should include a title page listing the corresponding author’s name and email address. All papers must be in Word or PDF format and emailed to: [email protected].

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The Haskell & White/Managerial Auditing Journal Corporate Reporting & Governance Conference is intended to provide opportunities for academics to engage with experienced researchers, received potential publication for their work and network with the practicing community. We especially encourage current and recently graduated PhDs to submit papers.   The CCRG will host the academic conference on September 19, 2019 followed by the 18th Annual SEC “Hot Topics” on Friday, September 20, 2019 at the same Hotel.  The SEC Conference is attended by over 500 professionals from Southern California. Academics are invited to attend The conference registration fees are $ 225 for academics and $ 400 for professionals. The fee covers a reception on Thursday evening, September 19, as well as continental breakfast and lunch on Friday, September 20. Fees are waived for doctoral students. 

ABOUT THE CENTER FOR CORPORATE REPORTING & GOVERNANCE

The Center for Corporate Reporting & Governance (CCRG) at the Steven G. Mihaylo College of Business & Economics at California State University, Fullerton was created in the wake of Enron and other high profile corporate scandals, as well as the subsequent passage of the landmark Sarbanes-Oxley Act to address the issues facing businesses and auditors in today's changing financial environment. The CCRG’s 18th Annual SEC “Hot Topics” Conference features a wide variety of speakers, including SEC, FASB, and PCAOB officials, financial accounting experts, board and audit committee members, as well as prominent corporate executives.
