CALL FOR PAPERS
The Waterloo Research Institute in Insurance, Securities and Quantitative Finance (WatRISQ), University of Waterloo announces: Call for Paper submissions for the 4th International Agricultural Risk, Finance, and Insurance Conference (IARFIC) to be held June 7-9th in Washington, D.C., USA.

IARFIC is a unique venue that brings together leaders in agriculture, finance, and risk management, across disciplines, and across borders, tackling very important and timely topics in an effort to maintain a strong agricultural sector and improve global food security. The theme of the conference is "Agricultural Risk, Finance, Insurance and Actuarial Science". The conference will include a dynamic program with high quality speakers focusing on innovative research, policy discussions, and business challenges and successes. The conference will also feature four "big picture" unique plenary sessions, with representation from Academia, Government, the Private Sector, Stakeholders, NGOs, and others.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:
Academics and practitioners are invited to submit abstracts (in English) in all areas of agriculture, with a focus on risk, finance, insurance, and other actuarial issues. The deadline for submission is February 1, 2015, and decisions will be communicated to authors shortly thereafter. Jointly authored papers should be submitted by the person who will present the paper if it is accepted. Please email your paper or extended abstract to [email protected].

PUBLICATIONS:
High-quality papers presented at the conference can be submitted for consideration to be published in the Special issue of Agricultural Finance Review. All papers will be subject to the journal review process. The deadline for submitting the full paper is October 31, 2015.
