We invite you to submit papers to be considered for publication in Social Care and Neurodisability journal.

About the journal


Social Care and Neurodisability is vital resource for everyone involved in working with people with neurological conditions and disorders including those in neurodisability, neuroscience and acquired brain injury.


The journal is aimed at anyone involved in research or working in social and health care and the legal professions. This includes social workers and other social care staff; case managers; medical staff including general practitioners, neurologists and psychiatrists; occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and other allied health professionals; clinical and neuropsychologists; service leaders and commissioners and solicitors.


It provides a forum for the sharing of information on research, good practice, recent advances and legal aspects in the treatment, rehabilitation and care of children, adolescents and adults who have neurological conditions.


The journal welcomes papers in any of the following categories:

  • Referenced, evidence-based research
  • Reviews including critical perspectives on developments in policy, practice and legislation

  • Critical analysis of assessment tools, ethics and practice dilemmas

  • Reviews and critiques of relevant literature

The journal has a general ‘Forum’ section for readers to give responses to current and past content, express views on relevant matters of the day and find out about relevant training events and conferences. The Journal also has a ‘Reviews’ section which contains information on recently available resources, including books and websites.
