Editor-in-Chief: Professor Mohan Kumaraswamy, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Joint Editor-in-Chief: Dr Linda Fan, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong

Papers are invited for assessment for Built Environment Project and Asset Management (BEPAM), a journal providing a niche forum to address interfaces between project management and asset management of building and civil engineering infrastructure, e.g. with increasing ‘whole life’ focus and sustainability imperatives. It connects both established and upcoming researchers with progressive practitioners in these fields.

BEPAM publishes cutting edge research and development in construction project management and infrastructure asset management, given the increasingly critical intersections and convergence between these domains. BEPAM targets interface issues between project management and asset management of building and civil engineering infrastructure, but also welcomes papers that may focus on either project management or asset management issues.

Scope

Target areas include but are not limited to the following:

•Project planning and project impact assessments
•Infrastructure demand analysis (with emphasis on sustainability)
•Stakeholder management (including appropriate engagement)
•Procurement management (with longer-term criteria, e.g. in public private partnerships etc.)
•Design management (including whole life considerations)
•Construction management (including whole life considerations)
•Infrastructure and societal needs
•Sustainable infrastructure and life cycle optimisation
•Critical infrastructure protection and disaster mitigation management
•Preventive maintenance, asset rehabilitation and replacement management.
