The Journal of Educational Administration is pleased to sponsor the forthcoming AVETRA Conference in Adelaide on 3-4 April 2008
The 11th AVETRA Conference is expected to attract over 200 participants with an interest in vocational education and training – with practitioners and researchers presenting their research. The conference theme is VET in Context.
The conference seeks to explore the role of VET in economic, social and regional development and the wider post-compulsory education sector, and what this means for VET teaching and assessment practice.
One international and three Australian keynote speakers, four symposia, over 60 papers and a series of social networking events will be presented over the 2 days.
The keynote speakers announced are:
- Prof. Margaret Somerville is a Professor of Education (Learning and Development) and Research Director of the Institute of Regional Studies at Monash University.
- Prof. Dr. Thomas Deissinger is from Germany and specialises in vocational training policy and comparative research.
- Prof Terri Seddon from the Faculty of Education, Monash University, Victoria.
- Ms Sue Bullen is a Training Consultant at QSR International, Australia.
