Nicolai J. Foss

Nicolai J. Foss is Professor of Organization and Strategy at the Copenhagen Business School and the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration. His research interests are strategic management, knowledge governance and entrepreneurship. Foss is the author of more than 100 papers in international journals (including Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of International Business Studies, etc.) and more than a dozen books. He heads CBS' Center for Strategic Management and Globalization and founded the popular blog,

Paul Beamish

Paul Beamish is the Donald Triggs Canada Research Chair in International Business at the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, London, Canada.  He is the author or co-author of 46 books and over 90 refereed articles.  His articles have appeared in Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS), and elsewhere.  He served as Editor-in-Chief of JIBS from 1993-97 and is a Fellow of the AIB.
Professor Beamish (Bao Ming Xin in Chinese) has worked on Asia-specific issues for many years.  He has written case studies and/or conducted research involving China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam.  He has served as a consultant to The World Bank on technology transfer to China, provided training programs in Asia for Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, and co-edited multiple series of casebooks published in Chinese.  As Director of Ivey’s Asian Management Institute (AMI), he is overseeing a process which generates research about business in Asia, and which has resulted in over 400 new Asian cases being prepared.  He is a Fellow of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada.

Professor Xi was born in 1957. In 1987 he was the first awarded Doctor degree in the field of management engineering in mainland China and in 1993 he became the youngest supervisor of PhD Candidates in management engineering in China. As a visiting professor, he has conducted joint research projects and discourses in universities in Canada, America, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Professor Xi’s research and teaching areas cover strategic management and policy analysis, decision-making and decision support system, management behavior and firm theory, etc. He invented Harmony Theory in 1987 and extended it to HeXie Management Theory. . As author or co-author, he has published more than 300 academic papers and 20 books.

Rosalie L. Tung

Rosalie L. Tung (Ph.D., University of British Columbia) holds the Ming and Stella Wong Chaired Professorship at Simon Fraser University (Canada).   She was formerly a Wisconsin Distinguished Professor, Business Administration, with the University of Wisconsin System.  She is an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, the Academy of Management, the Academy of International Business, and the International Academy for Intercultural Research.  She served as the 2003-2004 President of the Academy of Management, the leading association of 19,000 professors of management from around the world.  She is the author or editor of eleven books and many articles.  She is Area Editor of Comparative Management/IHRM, the Journal of International Business Studies and a past Editor of the Journal of World Busines.

Chandra S. Mishra

Chandra S. Mishra, Ph.D. holds the Office Depot Eminent Scholar Chair at the Barry Kaye College of Business at Florida Atlantic University. He is a tenured full professor in the Department of Management Programs. He is Editor of the Journal of Small Business Management. Dr. Mishra received his Ph.D. in business from the University of Texas at Dallas. His publications have appeared in Financial Management, Journal of International Business Studies, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Journal of International Financial Management and Accounting, Journal of Economics and Finance, Quarterly Journal of Economics and Finance, Quarterly Journal of Business and Economics, and other academic and professional journals. Dr. Mishra currently teaches graduate courses on entrepreneurship and venture capital, mergers and acquisitions in a global environment, the global business plan project, technology commercialization strategies, and the innovation and technology business case.

Dean Xu

Dean Xu is Associate Professor of Strategy and International Business at School of Business, the University of Hong Kong. He obtained his PhD from Schulich School of Business, York University. His research interests are in Chinese firm strategy and multinational firm strategy in China. His articles have appeared in the Academy of Management Review, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, Strategic Management Journal, and elsewhere.

Michael A. Hitt

Michael A. Hitt is a Distinguished Professor and holds the Joe B. Foster Chair in Business Leadership at Texas A&M University.  He has authored or coauthored over 280 publications, including 26 books. A recent article listed him among the top ten most cited management scholars over a 25 year period. He is a Past President of the Academy of Management and the current Past President of the Strategic Management Society. He is a former editor of the Academy of Management Journal and is the current co-editor of the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal. He received the 1996 Award for Outstanding Academic Contributions to Competitiveness and the 1999 Award for Outstanding Intellectual Contributions to Competitiveness Research from the American Society for Competitiveness.  He is a Fellow in the Academy of Management and a Fellow in the Strategic Management Society. He received an honorary doctorate (Doctor Honoris Causa) from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and was named an Honorary Professor and Honorary Dean of Xi’an Jiaotong University, People’s Republic of China. He has received awards for the best article published in the Academy of Management Executive (1999), Academy of Management Journal (2000) and Journal of Management (2006). He has also received the Irwin Outstanding Educator Award and the Distinguished Service Award from the Academy of Management.

Dahui Li

Dahui Li is an Associate Professor of Management Information Systems at Labovitz School of Business and Economics, University of Minnesota Duluth. He received his MIS from Texas Tech University. His current research focuses on business-to-consumer relationships, online community, and diffusion of technology innovation. He has had papers published in Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Communications of the ACM, Decision Sciences, Decision Support Systems, International Journal of Electronic Commerce, and among others. 

Zhangxi Lin

Zhangxi Lin earned his Ph.D. degree in information systems in 1999 from the University of Texas at Austin. He also possesses a MEng degree in computer science from Tsinghua University in 1982 and a MS degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996. His primary affiliation is the Rawls College of Business Administration, Texas Tech University, as an associate professor and Director at Center for Advanced Analytics and Business Intelligence. He is also affiliated to Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, as Director at Sichuan Key Lab of Financial Intelligence and Financial Engineering and Honorary Dean at School of Economics Information Engineering. Zhangxi Lin’s research interests include business intelligence, electronic commerce, data communications, and knowledge-based system. In last ten years, he has published more than eighty papers in internationally refereed journals and conferences. Zhangxi Lin is a member of Association of Information Systems, INFORMS, and IEEE Computer Society.

Chung-Hua Shen

Chung-Hua Shen recieved his Ph. D. from Washington University, USA. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Finance at the National Taiwan University. He has published around 40 papers in SSCI and 50 papers in Taiwan TSSCI and more. His research interetss are Banking, International Financial Market, Corporate Finance and Monetary Policy. Shen won the China Long River Scholar prize in China, he is the Independent Director of Taiwan Financial Holding Company, Director of Security Development Association, and Small and Medium Guarantee association and the member of Taiwan Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC). He is also a member of the Eisenhower Fellows, 2006 and Fulbright Fellows, 2002. He is listed in Who’s Who in the World , Who’s Who in Engineering and Who’s Who in Asia.
