Early Career Researchers in Real Estate

Special issue call for papers from Journal of Property Investment & Finance

Supporting Early Career Researchers (ECRs) in real estate is an important agenda for the real estate discipline and is stongly supported by the team at the Journal of Property Investment & Finance. Helping ECRs publish their first research paper in real estate is a key element in an ECR's research career. In this regard, the Journal of Property Investment & Finance announces a call for papers for a special issue devoted to 'Early Career Researchers in Real Estate'.

Specific criteria that will apply to the papers in this special issue of JPIF are:

  • Papers will only be considered from ECRs i.e. real estate researchers who are currently doing a PhD, or who have completed their PhD in the last three years
  • Only single-authored papers (by ECRs) will be considered
  • Submissions will only be considered by ECRs who have not previously published in an English language international real estate journal. This needs to be confirmed to the guest editor by all potential authors and will be rigorously checked by the guest editor
  • Papers must meet the research mandate of JPIF, and as such must highlight the practical implications of the research

Submission Information

Interested authors are encouraged to contact the guest editor with proposals. Please take note of the following requirements if you wish to have your paper considered for this Special Issue:

  • The content of the paper must conform to the terms of reference of the Journal of Property Investment & Finance
  • All papers submitted will be subject to the normal double blind refereeing process undertaken by the journal
  • Submitted papers must not be under review by any other journal
  • Articles must be analytic and rigorous, not merely descriptive.

Please submit your papers direct via the journal's ScholarOne website. Please indicate on the submission menu that your paper is for the 'Early Career Researchers in Real Estate' special issue.

For further information about the journal and author guidelines, see here. This is an exciting opportunity to start your research publication career. We look forward to some excellent papers from ECRs.

The closing date for submissions is 31st December 2019
