Intelligent Safety for Intelligent and Connected Vehicles

Call for papers for: Journal of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles

Open for submissions on 15 September 2021

With the demands on reducing traffic accidents, congestion, and energy consumption, intelligent and connected vehicles (ICVs) technology has been recognized as one of the promising solutions to these critical social and environmental issues, which has attracted more and more attentions from academia to industry. However, intelligent safety still remains the key challenge for the commercialization and widespread deployment of ICVs on public roads. A comprehensive understanding and report of the development status of ICVs is becoming urgent to facilitate the research of this field. Therefore, this special issue aims to provide a platform for researchers and engineers from academia, industry, and policymakers to present their latest research findings and engineering experiences in developing and applying novel technologies to improve and address the intelligent safety.

We welcome submissions to this special issue. Topics covered include (but are not limited to):

  • Safety of The Intended Functionality for ICVs
  • Safe Artificial Intelligence for ICVs
  • Cybersecurity for ICVs
  • Impacts of Human Factors on Safety of ICVs
  • Risk Assessment-based Vehicle Path Planning and Decision-Making
  • Safety for Unmanned Ground Vehicle
  • Test, Validation, and Verification for ICVs
  • Standard, Policy, and Protocol for ICVs Safety
