Transdisciplinary and practitioner engaged approaches to contemporary issues in violence and victimization
Call for papers for: Journal of Aggression, Conflict and Peace Research

This special issue of Journal of Aggression, Conflict and Peace Research aims to create innovative responses to violence and victimization that transcend any one discipline. The special issue welcomes quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research, along with innovative theoretical or methodological papers related to the transdisciplinary and practitioner engaged study of contemporary issues in violence and victimization.
We welcome submissions to this special issue. Primary consideration will be given to manuscripts that:
- Utilize a transdisciplinary approach that merges health, social welfare, social and behavior sciences, and social justice perspectives
- Create new conceptual, theoretical, methodological, and translational innovations that integrate and move beyond discipline-specific approaches
- Focus on contemporary issues in violence and victimization (i.e., Intimate partner violence in the era of COVID-19, cyber victimization, historically understudied victims and victimization experiences, )
- Involve meaningful community partnerships and practitioner engagement in the research and/or writing process
Deadline and submission details
The submission deadline for all papers is 1st March 2021
Articles should be between 5,000 and 6,000 words in length. This includes all text, for example, the structured abstract, references, all text in tables, and figures and appendices. Each figure or table counts as 350 words.
