Introduction

The special issue aims to explore and promote comprehensive approaches to enhancing urban resilience against fire risks.   The special issue will significantly contribute to bridging the gap between fire risk management and urban resilience by providing valuable insights and practical tools for creating safer, more resilient urban environments. It introduces novel frameworks that integrate fire risk assessment with urban resilience strategies, highlights cutting-edge technologies and materials that enhance fire prevention, detection, and mitigation, and promotes best practices through the dissemination of. Furthermore, the issue will foster knowledge exchange and provide a forum for showcasing innovative research, advanced technologies, state-of-the-art management, and policy options in Fire Risk Management for Urban Resilience. This issue seeks to:

  1. Highlight Cutting-edge Research: Present innovative studies on fire risk analysis, prevention, and mitigation to inform best practices.
  2. Promote Integrated Strategies: Showcase holistic approaches that combine risk assessment, behavioral insights, evacuation planning, and adaptive design.
