Introduction

This special issue will include selected papers presented on the 4th International Conference on Tribology TURKEYTRIB 2023.
The scope of the conference embraces the state of the art and future trends in tribology research and application, emphasising the need to facilitate intellectual collaboration across both disciplinary and national international boundaries. The main objective of the conference is to provide a unique opportunity to present and discuss recent developments in various aspects of Tribology and to strengthen the link between academia and industry. The conference consists of scientific sessions, symposia on specific topics, exhibitions and various social events. Turkish and foreign expert groups will have the opportunity to exchange information and get in touch with other groups in all areas of Tribology.
