Facilities Management – A Future Proof Management Approach Towards Sustainability
“Circular economy” and “carbon neutrality” are two rising concepts influencing the strategies and processes of sustainable practice in the field of built environment management. Facilities management, representing the operation phase of the built environment life cycle, has been placed at an unprecedented position for supporting both macro and micro levels of sustainable practice in recent years. This trend has been leveraged to a future proof dimension since the outbreak of COVID-19. Future proof facilities management is thus a timely topic for academics to share their views on how to effectively and sustainably manage facilities during and in the post COVID-19 pandemic era.
