Introduction

This special issue is associated with the ECCOMAS Young Investigators Congress 2023. High quality and promising research topics will be shared in this event, and part of the contributions will be included in this issue. These contributions will be of interest of the scientific community relating to computational methods applied to sciences, in general.

The Special Issue will contain some of the most recent research in the areas of Computational Solid Mechanics, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Computational Natural Sciences, Scientific Computing, and Industrial Applications, performed by young researchers, who are shaping the future of the research paths in these areas.

The contributions included in the Special Issue are expected to help establishing some computational methods by demonstrating their applicability to real world problems and to raise new research paths with potential impact in the future of the scientific community. It may attract the attention of industries whose activity heavily relies on simulation (aeronautical, automotive, civil engineering).

List of topic areas

The areas of Computational Solid Mechanics, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Computational Natural Sciences, Scientific Computing, and Industrial Applications will be covered.
