Digital Transformation of Healthcare and Finance

Closes:

Introduction

Healthcare and financial industries continue to be the breeding grounds of disruptive technologies and their novel applications. The technologies such as blockchain, fintech, and artificial intelligence (AI) and advances in IT infrastructure are improving the connectivity of existing systems and their computing capabilities and assisting global business automation, sustainability, and efficiency initiatives. The new technologies provide opportunities for new business models and strategic advantages and raise governance and regulatory concerns. Due to the dynamic nature of the technology advancements, their adoptions, and their applications, the existing literature on the role of blockchain, fintech, and AI is scarce and disorganized. The special issue seeks to publish original contributions studying theoretical and practical aspects of the diffusion of the latest technologies in finance and healthcare. The special issue aims to showcase systematic literature reviews and studies based on either qualitative or quantitative research methods.
