Introduction 


This special issue aims to attract the audience from worldwide in the utilization of the modern tools in the conceptual aircraft design. Further the submissions related to the energy demand in aviation were also addressed. The current issue especially covers the novel manuscripts related to the industrial application.


The topic to be covered in the proposed special issue is one of the hot topics in the field. Research and studies on advances in emerging tools utilization on development of modern aerial vehicles, UAVs and drones are still presented to the literature. For purpose of the proposed special issue aims to contribute to the literature by publication of recent studies. However, being an up-to-date topic papers to be published in the special issue will increase citation of the journal.


The proposed special issue is considered to focus on progress in aircraft design and computational modelling. This topic deals with current problems in development of materials for the aircraft industry. Further, due to the inadequate tools the production of the economical design is still challenging to the policy makers and engineers. From this point of view the theme of the proposed special issue is considered to be up to date.
