Overview of Special Issue

The world is becoming more urban, and risk is compounding due to maldevelopment and climate change. The interdisciplinary contents of the special issue will broadly respond to the context and spark generative conversations between researchers and practitioners.  This Special Issue will highlight the need to understand the different dimensions, unexpected challenges and opportunities that could foster collective efforts aimed at risk reduction.

The Special Issue will showcase interdisciplinary theoretical and empirical contributions to debates on how humans build and live in environments that are threatening to their wellbeing and will feature currents approaches towards addressing these risks.
