The overall objective of the workshop was to share experiences on promoting electronic resources across the different knowledge ambassadors present, and also to emphasize the increase in usage among the academics and students across the different universities subscribed to Emerald content.

The students were accompanied by either their institution's librarian or resource librarian. The event was promoted via librarians who then directed students to the dedicated website and Facebook page, which gained good interaction between students, librarians and Emerald. This is also continuing after the event.

Students were all dressed in t-shirts and given backpacks, all branded with the Emerald logo. At the end of the event the team advertised a post-workshop survey which will give insight into what can be improved for the 2016 event which is to be held at United States International University (USIU) Kenya. The workshops for 2017 and 2018 have also been agreed, which further cements Emerald’s commitment in the country, and due to their popularity further workshops are being arranged in other parts of the region.

Keep checking the Facebook page for updates through out the year for information on the 2016 event, which we will start organizing much earlier.
