We have a strong tradition in partnering with other organisations to set up joint research awards to recognise the best management research being published worldwide. We also have an active partnership publishing programme and are keen to talk to other bodies about potential collaborative journal and book series launches. The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)
AACSB International is an association of educational institutions, businesses, and other organisations devoted to the advancement of higher education in management education.
It is also the largest accrediting agency of collegiate business schools and accounting programmes worldwide. The association's growing membership represents more than 1,100 members in 74 countries/territories. Members continue to turn towards AACSB International as a source of information, training and networking for business school educators.
European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD)
EFMD is an international membership organisation, based in Brussels, Belgium.
With more than 700 member organisations from academia, business, public service and consultancy in 81 countries, EFMD provides a unique forum for information, research, networking and debate on innovation and best practice in management development. EFMD is recognised globally as an accreditation body of quality in management education and has established accreditation services for business schools and business school programmes, corporate universities and technology-enhanced learning programmes.
American Library Association (ALA)
The American Library Association (ALA) is the oldest and largest library association in the world, with members in academic, public, school, government, and special libraries.
Its mission is to provide leadership for the development, promotion, and improvement of library and information services and the profession of librarianship in order to enhance learning and ensure access to information for all.
Global Foundation for Management Education (GFME)
The Global Foundation for Management Education is an initiative driving the future of the business and management education sector around the world.
The Global Foundation for Management Education is a joint initiative of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). It aims to identify and address challenges and opportunities in the practice of management education worldwide, and also to advance its quality and content.
Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES)
The Portal.periosicos.CAPES is a virtual library of easy access to scientific and technological information offered by the federal government to the Brazilian education system.
The portal offers up-to-date and high quality content allowing access and look up of complete texts from scientific articles. The portal has been recognised for its excellence and leadership among consortiums by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI), based on the body of user institutions and the number of daily website hits. More than 1.3 million faculty members, researchers and students have access to the portal.
All India Management Association (AIMA)
The All India Management Association (AIMA) was created as an apex body of professional management with active support of the Government of India and Industry in 1957.
AIMA is a body to pool management thoughts in the country, a forum to develop a national managerial ethos, an organisation to facilitate the furtherance of the management profession in the country. AIMA has established close linkages with over 3000 institutions and over 30,000 individual professionals directly and through network of the Local Management Associations.
Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative (GRLI)
The GRLI is a unique global community of action and learning, consisting of organisations (partners) that work individually, in pairs, in clusters and collectively.
The GRLI’s focused mission is to promote support and execute the development of a next generation of globally responsible leaders. It is set up as a foundation of public interest, and backed by a long-term strategic partnership with EFMD and AACSB International. A unique characteristic of the GRLI is that it seeks to maintain a balance between businesses and business schools/learning institutions, usually ensuring that each business school that joins does so with a business partner.
Central and East European Management Development Association (CEEMAN)
CEEMAN is an international management development association established in 1993 with the aim of accelerating the growth in quality of management development in central and eastern Europe.
Gradually CEEMAN has become a global network of management development institutions interested in quality of education and innovations in this field, as well as in the broad area of subjects related to change. CEEMAN has expanded to include 210 institutional and individual members from 50 countries.
International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR)
IACMR is a professional, academic organisation targeted at scholars, students, managers, and consultants who are interested in advancing knowledge on managing organisations within the Chinese context.
The primary goal of the organisation is to promote scholarly studies of organisation and management of firms in the Chinese context. The association was formed in a meeting held on August 6, 2001, in Washington, DC attended by about 250 professors of management and doctoral students from around the world.
Authors Licensing and Collecting Society (ALCS)
The Authors’ Licensing and Collecting Society (ALCS) represents the interests of all UK writers and aims to ensure writers are fairly compensated for any works that are copied, broadcast or recorded.
Run by writers for writers, ALCS has distributed over £130 million to writers since its inception in 1977. It is the largest writers’ organisation in the UK, with over 54,000 members, and in the last financial year ALCS paid out a total of £13.6 million to over 42,000 writers.
European Aeronautics Scientific Network (EASN)
The primary aim of the EASN Association is the advancement of the aeronautics sciences and technologies.
The long-term goal of establishing EASN was to built up an open, unique European platform in order to structure, support and upgrade the research activities of the European Aeronautics Universities, as well as to facilitate them to respond to their key role within the European Aeronautical research Community in incubating new knowledge and breakthrough technologies.
Emerald partners with the EASN to publish its official journal, the International Journal of Structural Integrity.
European Real Estate Society (ERES)
The European Real Estate Society (ERES) was established in 1994 to create a structured and permanent network between real estate academics and professionals across Europe.
ERES is dedicated to promoting and advancing the field of real estate research throughout Europe. Incorporating many national property research societies, academic researchers and real estate practitioners, activities such as the annual conference, industry seminars, education seminars and publications provide a forum for information flow and debate on research issues.
Emerald partners with ERES to publish its official journal, the Journal of European Real Estate Research.
Institute of Place Management (IPM)
IPM is the international professional body that supports people committed to developing, managing and making places better.
As a not-for profit, membership organisation, IPM strives to ensure its members get the opportunity to achieve their potential and gain the recognition they deserve from people within and external to the industry. Linking the worlds of the practitioner, academic and policy maker, IPM is establishing an international network of people committed to making neighbourhoods, towns, cities, retail districts or any other places the best they can possibly be.
Emerald partners with the IPM to publish its official journal, the Journal of Place Management and Development.
Baltic Management Development Association
The Baltic Management Development Association (BMDA) was founded in 2002 to develop management in the Baltic region as a science and a profession.
BMDA members are universities and business schools from the Baltic countries and beyond, dedicated to promoting high professional and educational standards in the Baltic region. The overall goal of the association is to establish a virtual bridge between East and West Management schools.
The Baltic Journal of Management is the official journal of BMDA.
The EuroMed Research Business Institute
The EuroMed Research Business Institute (EMRBI) aims to contribute to and share the understanding of different business environments and trends in the European-Mediterranean region through research, teaching and consulting.
EMRBI undertakes research and other scholarly activities, and offers a range of business-related professional services, both through its own resources and/or through associated organisations and individuals. EMRBI also pursues funded and sponsored research from a wide variety of sources, and contributes not only to local and international knowledge, but also to international collaboration and peace.
The EuroMed Journal of Business is the official journal of EMRBI.
Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship
The Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE) is the UK’s largest and most well-established network for individuals and organisations involved in small business and entrepreneurship research; enterprise support and advice; entrepreneurship education; and the formulation, delivery and evaluation of policy in this area.
With over 500 members, a network of close to 4,000 and a strong and relevant board, ISBE is at the forefront of developments in this sector. Contemporary Issues in Entrepreneurship Research is published in collaboration with ISBE.
ASFOR Italian Association for Management Education
Established in 1971 with the aim of developing the managerial culture in Italy and qualifying the supply of management training, ASFOR is an association that currently has over 80 members with legal personality, operating both as suppliers and consumers of educational services, or supporting their development.
ASFOR Articles of Association provide three categories of Members: full members, associate members, sustaining members. ASFOR relies on a broad network of relationships with foreign universities and training institutes as well as links with Italian institutions and organisations active in the world of management education. ASFOR is a member of EFMD - European Foundation for Management Development and is an Associate Member of ENQA - European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education.
