Review of Economics and Political Science (REPS) is a scholarly journal which publishes original and impactful articles in the fields of economics, political science and statistics and public administration.

Aims & scope

REPS publishes four issues per annum and is organised by the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University.

It covers the fields of economics, political science and statistics and public administration with a particular focus on Egypt and the Middle East. Manuscripts that cover other Regions may also be accepted. Manuscripts that use quantitative, statistical and social science computing models are given special emphasis.

Peer review

REPS operates a double blind peer review model. All articles undergo an initial assessment by the journal editor. If they are considered suitable for peer review, articles will then be a reviewed by a minimum of two external reviewers to assess its suitability for publication. Final responsibility for editorial decisions rest with the journal editor.

Open access

All articles published in REPS are published Open Access under a CC BY 4.0 licence. For further information on licencing please see the author guidelines.

Publishing Services partnership

REPS is published by Emerald Group Publishing on behalf of Faculty of Economics and Political Science (FEPS), Cairo University. REPS is owned by Faculty of Economics and Political Science (FEPS), Cairo University. REPS is published under a platinum OA arrangement. All charges for publishing an OA article in REPS are sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Technical Education in Egypt (Egyptian Knowledge Bank), whose address is at 12 Alfalky Street, Cairo, Egypt. There is no charge to the author.
