Editorial objectives

Interdisciplinary and wide-ranging in scope, the journal covers the latest research on all topics germane to policing that focus on theory, policy, and/or practice. Policing is a 'generalist' journal, and one that provides readers with a truly global and comparative perspective. Empirical articles are supplemented by 'state of the art' reviews on topical issues.

This journal is for those concerned with achieving greater effectiveness in policing and law enforcement. The worldwide readership includes academics teaching and researching in this field as well as law enforcement professionals and policy makers.

Papers published in Policing are double blind peer-reviewed. For more details about Emerald's approach to Publication Ethics; please refer to the company guidelines.
