Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative logo.Editorial Objectives

This journal was developed by the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative. Its focus is on leadership and governance, corporate and public, in an interdependent world, involving relations to self, society, politics, and the wider, global environment. It aims to develop excellent intellectual debate about the meaning and practice of responsibility in this context. Its uniqueness is in focusing on the integration of these complex ideas, relationships and practices in order to contribute to thought leadership and excellent practice. Hence, it aims to be both rigorous and inspirational.

The journal is interdisciplinary and focused on integration. Global responsibility involves building bridges between theory, value and practice, and developing holistic awareness. It demands catalytic and innovative thinking from all the sub disciplines of management (finance and accounting, strategy and marketing, operations and human and organizational studies, communications and PR, and enterprise) as well as the more fundamental academic disciplines including philosophy, sociology, politics, history and psychology. The journal aims to develop work with other organizations who work in related areas such as Global Ethics and PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education).
