International Journal of Clothing Science and Technology (IJCST) is a specialised journal for all aspects of research regarding clothing science, aimed at all those involved with clothing; whether in fabric, design, production, machinery, management or retailing

ISSN: 0955-6222
eISSN: 0955-6222

Aims and scope

International Journal of Clothing Science and Technology (IJCST) is a peer-reviewed journal addressing the theory and application of original research in Textiles and Fibrous Assemblies, in the fields of novel, traditional, non-traditional and diverse science, technology and engineering, as well as design and aesthetics. IJCST recognises and promotes papers of originality, interdisciplinarity and importance, and encourages scholarly critical reviews.

Fields of interest

Textiles are materials of great complexity and diversity, so their understanding is of paramount importance, and their design, manufacture and end use are expanding to many fields such as Fashion, Interior, Architecture, Medical, Aerospace, Automotive, Civil-engineering and Geotextiles, Well-being, Food, Agriculture and Electronics. In fact, many new textile products are not known as such because of their diverse technology, such as scaffolds for cell growth for example, or membranes with tribological energy harvesting ability, or photonics based on fibre morphology, to name but a few. It is essential therefore that researchers and industry keep pace with these fast-developing sectors by reading and publishing.

Key benefits

The International Journal of Clothing Science and Technology is a specialized journal for all those involved with textiles and clothing. It is a refereed publication proudly enjoying the highest standards in editorial, reviewing and authoring. IJCST scholarly mission is to generate new knowledge and keeping the international community of researchers and industry in touch with one another.

Key journal audiences

Academics, researchers, industrialists and trade organisations working in the textile, clothing and allied industries.
