2017-18 Emerald/AABS
Case Study Competition

Maximize your potential and compete with the brightest minds in Africa

Emerald and the Association of African Business Schools (AABS) are delighted to announce that the 2017-2018 Emerald/AABS Case Study Competition is now open!

The aim of the competition is to encourage and promote the development of high-quality teaching case material derived from real life situations in Africa.

With the rise of experiential learning, case studies remain a fundamental teaching tool in every subject area within the business school discipline. Those cases with a local focus are critical to developing business school curriculum in the emerging economies; Emerald and the AABS are devoted to developing high-quality cases focused on the African region.

This year, Emerald are increasing the total cash prize fund to $2,250, to reflect their commitment and belief in the importance of emerging markets case studies. The prize fund will be split as follows:

  • US$1,500
  • US$500
  • US$250

The winners will be announced at the AABS Connect Conference on 20-22 May 2018, which is to be held at The University of Dar es Salaam Business School, Tanzania, and we would like the winners to be there. We will provide details on this in the coming weeks.
