Aims and Scope

Advances in Financial Economics publishes peer reviewed quality manuscripts on any aspects of financial economics including corporate finance, financial institutions and markets and microeconomics.

The journal welcomes and encourages interdisciplinary research and a wide variety of research methods, Manuscripts are peer reviewed by two external experts and comments are sent back to authors within two months.

Advances in Financial Economics accepts both submissions of manuscripts and proposals for themed issues. If you wish to contribute, or to submit a proposal, please contact the corresponding editor, Professor Stephen F. Ferris at ferris@missouri.edu. This volume contains a set of empirical papers by a set of global scholars who examine corporate governance and market regulation from a variety of perspectives. Among the topics addressed are the link between the valuation discount of dual class companies and the channels through which private benefits can be extracted and firms' use of executive search firms versus allowing internal members to nominate new directors to serve on the board of directors.
