Research in Urban Policy (RUP) makes an annual contribution to this growing field through publishing edited collections of original research based on a timely yet broad theme. Volumes are made available in print and online. Papers published in RUP are peer-reviewed. For more details about Emerald's approach to Publication Ethics; please refer to the company guidelines.

Historically focusing on themes such as citizen engagement and urban governance responses, this series is re-launching in 2014 with the new volume Can Tocqueville Karaoke?. The series editor now invites proposals for future volumes and will consider projects around the following themes:

Urban governance; Resilience building; Urban planning; Community engagement; Land use policy, and other related issues.

A preference is reserved for multi-centered research projects wishing to showcase their findings.
