Examining Important Financial Issues through Innovative DBA Research

Special issue call for papers from Managerial Finance

Guest Editor: Andy Naranjo, University of Florida, USA

Managerial Finance solicits high-quality papers for a special issue focusing on topics related to innovate financial DBA research. In the past decade, there has been an increase in DBA programs. Unlike traditional PhD programs, DBA programs often have more practitioner-oriented emphasis with applied research. DBA students typically have extensive professional experience, providing unique perspectives and access to unique data to address important financial issues and questions. This special issue will focus on high quality, impactful, and innovative DBA financial research. While the range of financial research topics is open, the research should address important financial issues and questions, and the research should be innovative - building off unique data, methodological approaches, and professional insights. The range of unique data includes data gathered from field experiments, unique archival data, and access to unique corporate data, among others. The methodological approaches include both quantitative and qualitative methods. A unique literature review paper covering innovative DBA research is also welcome (discuss this paper with the Guest Editor prior to submission).

Submissions:

Submit papers online via the Managerial Finance submission system at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/mf. Please follow the journal submission guidelines and specify that the manuscript is for the special issue in the submission process. While the submission deadline is June 1st, 2019, early submissions are encouraged. For additional information, please contact Guest Editor, Andy Naranjo (andy.naranjo@warrington.ufl.edu).
