Special Issue call for papers: Contemporary issues in Policing and Security

Focus

This special issue of Journal of Criminological Research, Policy and Practice will include papers from the forthcoming International Policing and Security Conference (7-8 November 2018, Sydney, Australia). The special issue will focus on issues surrounding education initiatives to address the demands of the ever-evolving policing and security global landscape, beginning a critical debate which is currently not widely published in this important area. We welcome submissions to this special issue.

Topics covered include (but are not limited to):

• Technology, cybercrime and intelligence challenges

• Private sector/Policing

• Counter terrorism and security challenges

• International education trends for law enforcement and security

 • Investigative practice, cold case inquiry and serious/serial crime investigation

• Resilience, wellbeing and reshaping of the law enforcement workplace

• Youth crime, gangs and inner city violence
