Infrastructure and Real Estate

Special issue call for papers from Journal of Property Investment & Finance

The interface between infrastructure and real estate has always been a blurred line, but today the distinction is less than ever. Infrastructure involves the planning, design and implementation of real estate, development zones and regions. Real estate develops as quickly and efficiently as the supporting infrastructure. In this regard, the Journal of Property Investment & Finance announces a call for papers for a special issue devoted to "Infrastructure and Real Estate".

Suggested areas are:

  • Infrastructure investment and regional economic development
  • Role of infrastructure in promoting real estate development
  • Infrastructure planning and design
  • Approaches to developing infrastructure
  • Real options in infrastructure
  • Effects of infrastructure investment on real estate prices
  • Urban renewal and infrastructure development
  • Sustainable infrastructure
  • Integration between infrastructure and urbanization

The above list is not exhaustive and interested authors are encouraged to contact the guest editors with alternative proposals. Please take note of the following requirements if you wish to have your paper considered for this Special Issue:

  • The content of the paper must conform to the terms of reference of the Journal of Property Investment & Finance,
  • All papers submitted will be subject to the normal double-blind refereeing process undertaken by the journal,
  • Submitted papers must not be under review by any other journal,
  • Articles must be analytic and rigorous, not merely descriptive.
