Overview
The special issue on ‘sustainable business in digital age’ discusses contemporary management practices across the globe and their contribution in transforming the scope, scale, and potential of business over a decade. Digital intervention has been a game changer for the business, throwing up umpteen opportunities and challenges. Opportunities are integration of business within and across boundaries. Challenges arise due to diffusion of boundaries and access to large amount of data and information which makes customer satisfaction difficult. Providing customer experience requires integrating social, economic, global, and environmental objectives. Therefore, there is need to develop a sustainable business model to meet current industry challenges.

We invite academicians and researchers to submit papers that provide insights on topics like entrepreneurial development, organizational agility, reduced complexity, innovative methods of problem solving, decision making, quality improvement, supply chain efficiencies, inventory management, increasing asset efficiency, protecting knowledge assets, data and corporate reputation. Digital revolution is an on-going challenge for business and a robust business model can only serve a winning strategy. Sustainable business models cannot be developed in silos, but is an integration of diverse disciplines of management carefully developed by redesigning organizational systems, processes, and cultures to drive creativity and innovation for success of business. In this regard, submissions of articles, conceptual and empirical papers, review articles, viewpoints pertaining to development of sustainable business model is also welcome.

Papers reviewed: 31st July 2018
Revised papers reviewed and accepted: 31st October 2018
Final versions of accepted papers delivered: 30th November 2018
