Emerald Partnership Award

Awards for Excellence

Publishing Partner 2010

The objective of Emerald’s Publishing Partnerships programme is to work with other organisations to increase the dissemination of practical management research content through a variety of initiatives. Emerald’s Partnerships include, amongst others, professional associations wishing to enhance their membership benefits through the provision of high quality scholarly research; subject-specific web sites and database services wanting to complement their existing product offerings; and republication and translation rights agreements which make scholarly research more accessible to new markets.

Emerald Publishing Partnerships strive to enhance and extend the journal portfolio by combining Emerald’s publishing expertise with the subject specialities of other organizations to launch top-quality and sustainable new titles.

It is our pleasure to announce that the recipient of the Emerald Publishing Partnership Award for 2010 is:

China Agricultural University

The team based at the China Agricultural University (CAU) has been very enthusiastic and supportive about the launch of China Agricultural Economic Review (CAER) in association with Emerald. This journal is managed by a very experienced, dedicated and active editorial team, eleven members of which are based at CAU. Professor Xian Xin and his team work to constantly improve the title. CAU hosted the first CAER annual conference and its patronage meant that delegates were able to attend without incurring registration charges. The conference brought together editorial team members who work on other agricultural economics titles and fruitful discussions were held. The Emerald Literati Network awards for the first volume were presented to winning authors at the conference, and CAU President, Prof. Bingsheng Ke was among dignitaries handing out the awards. The institution has always cooperated well with Emerald and worked with representatives to run an Insider’s Guides to Getting Published in November 2009. Editorial team members based at the institution made insightful contributions which familiarized attendees with the history of the journal as well as the peer-review process and other quality measures used during the selection of papers. CAU has been instrumental in making CAER a reality, and in continuously increasing its visibility and profile in the relevant academic community.
