Harriet Bell to speak on 'The Future of Scholarly Publishing'

EnANPAD 2 October 2017, Sao Paulo, Brazil

The National Association of Post Graduate and Research in Administration are holding their conference from 1 – 4 October in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
This year, Global Marketing Director for Emerald Publishing, Harriet Bell will be speaking on Monday 2 October as part of the conference, covering the theme of ‘The Future of Scholarly Publishing’.

ANPAD promote teaching, research and the production of knowledge within the field of administrative accounting and related schemes in Brazil.  Created in 1976, ANPAD is today the main organ of interaction between associated programmes, research groups of the area and the international community.

There are a number of challenges that authors face when they are trying to get their research published and shared to the international community.  This speaking opportunity will be the chance to showcase the kind of support that authors need and how this can be offered by institutions.  A variety of ‘how to’ workshops to help and guide authors, language services and promotion of authors’ profiles and research to wider audiences are all ways of overcoming such challenges.  Showcasing output from institutions and training authors how to share their papers and use social media to the maximum effect are also key solutions in raising the visibility of research outputs.

Harriet will also tackle some of the issues around the thorny subject of ‘impact’, which researchers are under increasing pressure from funders and their institutions to deliver.

If you are attending EnANPAD 2017, come along to Harriet Bell’s talk on Monday 2 October, 8am – 10am, 6th Floor, WTC World Trade Center Sao Paulo.  The Emerald Publishing team will also be at the event to celebrate 50 years in publishing, so come and say hello in the exhibition area!
